In NA on DN constantly changing ProviderId for some channels (PPVs and movies).
Is this because of the 0601 ProviderId? If yes, how to set it up (00, 01, M1 only does not work), if now is it fixable.
If this kind request is treated as spam and deleted, please let me know.

Hello, Vahid!

Thanks again for your work!

I updated my previous modest contribution to vPlug - translation to Russian language (added two more strings and corrected my previous translation) and added translation to Ukrainian language.

BTW, not all vPlug messages are available for translation via .lng files - there’re no TPS AU messages in .lng files.

Can you plz tell me which TV software and which DVB-S cards are fully compatible with vplug. I use DVB-Viewer 3.8.x and 3.9.x with a Technotrend connect S-2400 and have just problems after installing vplug.

What are your problems? (because DVB-Viewer-Pro is my preferred dvb-app after death of alt-dvb)

Hi Vahid,

i’m glad to hear that you use DVB-Viewer Pro and vplug without problems, as it is a ray of hope for me. I would even buy a normal pc with an internal dvb-s card if it’s the only way to solve the problems. When i start DVB-Viewer Pro and choose any channel everything is ok, the ecrypted channel is decrypted and shown normally. But when i choose another channel over the menu or particularly when i switch to another encrypted channel over the switch buttons for the favourite channel list the program freezes. Depending on which encrypted channel i switch to which other one (encrypted or not)(e.g. on another transpoder) DVB-Viewer doesn’t freeze as a whole, but i get only a flickering picture of the next channel on the left half and a flickering picture of the previous channel on the right half. In this case i can at least “rescue” the display by using the “Rebuild Graph” function. Also i noticed several times that DVBViewer looses its whole configuration, maybe cause i installed it under the admin profile but configured it afterwards under the main user profile (since i configured it “as admin” i didn’t notice this, but i think this has nothing to do with vplug anymore). Another problem in connection with vplug is that an encrypted channel must be set first when i want to record. Using scheduled recording for an enrypted channel but watching another channel (even on the same transponder) results in no recording but creating just a 0 or 4 kb file.

I use DVB Viewer Pro and I’m not able to record more (encrypted) channels on the same frequency at the same time. DVB Viewer records only the channel on which I’m tunned.

+ It seems you have problem with video codecs.
+ reduce the load of the application on channel change. you can turn off EPG (most of the German users have problem with EPG modules of different dvb app’s), also turn off auto-ecm, auto-pmt and so on + turn off AU. try and error gives you the best answer. some times drivers would cause these problems. I have a SS2 now. SS2 is a mature card + it’s drivers. I am not sure about your card.
+ it seems your under Vista. (run as admin?). Vista is not a recommended OS for dvb-s users.
After 3 months testing of this new OS, I couldn’t tolerate it at all! XP is a better choice for dvb-s fans.

Thx for the quick answer with several methods of resolution. I also think that it could be a codec problem, although the free channels don’t cause problems. I will try everything now but before i install the OS new can you tell me if there is a recommended codec for DVBViewer?

In fact i use XP Pro SP2 but it’s a pity that Vista still is not working perfectly with DVB applications, as i planned to buy a new pc for the coming DX10 Games soon. But perhaps this will change in the near future.

The last question (before i reinstall my OS): Is vplug able to handle two same DVB-s cards as DVB-Viewer Pro itself should do, for recording on a channel and viewing another one?

Vista is not a recommended OS for dvb-s users.

I use DVB-Viewer 3.9.x with a Technotrend connect S-2400.
I had to uncheck “Auto-update channel” in DVB-Viewer. If checked DVB-Viewer will always try to update the channel information adding a heavy load while switching channels. I have also changed some hardware options in DVB-Viewer and now I have no problems. Anyway, the problems are not comming from vplug.

Ok, thx for your help. After many changes of the configuration (unchecking the vplug options, turning off EPG, setting InterVideo as video decoder, unchecking fast channelswitch and adjusting the delay of switching) i solved the problems like freeze and crash down of the app.
The only small problem i still can not solve is that it jumps sometimes between channels at switching over the remote control. But this could be up to the remote control itself.

Hi Vahid,
I have Golden Interstar and I use SBCL+VPlug… You said that VPlug isn’t designed for STB. It’s true,there is lots of freezing.

I have just noticed that checking and unchecking the ACTIVE zone makes SBCL work very fine with no problemes at all. I don’t know, but i thing if u make this checking/unchecking automatique (at least in a version for STBs), then SBCL STBs will work fine.

Partially! It does not work with Vista correctly (I don’t care about this one). It does not work with latest SS2 drivers correctly. You can wait for its *annual* releases. lol.
But honestly it’s a masterpiece in system’s resources consumption.

in the “Quick Op-key editor” window to be able to change as we like
the Name(Sys),ProviderID and keyIndex in textfields (gui)
(for introducing the key in the v_keys.db file)
